The 27-year-old charged with attempted murder after a store employee was stabbed at Bunnpris on Lambertseter on Thursday has been remanded in custody for four weeks.

According to the custody document, the man will – at least for the time being – spend the prison period in a psychiatric hospital.

The 27-year-old man is well known to the employees at Bunnpris but has never before behaved threateningly. He is also known to the police from the past.

The condition of the man who was stabbed was still critical on Friday but stable.

“He was on the operating table for many hours yesterday but is out of danger now and on the road to recovery. It is incredibly good news,” Bunnpris’ regional director John Odden told newspaper Nordstrands Blad on Friday.
