The Norwegian Directorate of Health believes that, in the current infection situation, imported infection is less important than before. Therefore, it thinks that testing at the border may cease.

“However, testing immigrants who can not document that they have immunity or a negative test with an EU certificate can be considered, in line with the EU Council recommendations.

“The preparedness (level) must allow us to scale up the testing at the border if necessary,” the Norwegian Directorate of Health wrote in its weekly report.

In week 3, a 43% decrease of travelers who were tested at the border was registered. There was also a decrease in the proportion of positive test cases at the border.
