After a married couple was diagnosed with coronavirus without any symptoms other than loss of sense of smell and taste, a professor believes that anyone with the symptoms should be isolated.

“This should lead to taking these symptoms more seriously, and considering isolating people who have them. These people can represent infection,” says Jøran Hjelmesæth, who is the head of the Center for Morbidly Obese in Vestfold, and a professor at the University of Oslo, to VG.

He and his colleague, Senior Consultant Dagfinn Skaare, reported on the special case in the Journal of the Norwegian Medical Association.

Today, people with these symptoms do not meet the test criteria of the health authorities.
