Three people in their 20s have refused to accept their respective fines for violating the corona regulations in Tromsø in November.
According to the fines, the trio attended a private gathering of 14 people. At the time, Tromsø’s local corona regulations allowed a maximum of ten people at such gatherings.
The fines amount to NOK 4,000. In court, the prosecuting authority will file a claim for a fine of NOK 4,800. It will also ask that the partygoers cover the legal costs of the proceedings.
The case will take place in Nord-Troms and Senja District Court on September 20.
The other participants have accepted the fines they received, police lawyer Ronny Jørgensen told news bureau NTB.
