A total of 4,651 cases of the omicron variant have been detected in Norway so far. Out of the total, 780 have been detected since Tuesday, according to the FHI.
The first case of the omicron variant in Norway was confirmed on December 1, 2021, from samples taken in the last week in November.
A total of 4,651 confirmed cases have been confirmed since then.
The findings of proven omicron infection have been made in the following counties:
* Agder: 529
* Innlandet: 118
* Møre og Romsdal: 17
* Nordland: 12
* Oslo: 1,965
* Rogaland: 218
* Troms og Finnmark: 35
* Trøndelag: 79
* Unknown: 118
* Vestfold og Telemark: 283
* Vestland: 137
* Viken: 1,140
