Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will hold a video-broadcasted speech to the Norwegian parliament (Storting) on Wednesday at 2 PM.
Storting President Masud Gharahkhani (AP) announced the news on his Facebook page Tuesday morning.
A letter sent to the representatives of the Storting states that the event is expected to take up to 20 minutes.
Ukraine’s ambassador will be present, and members of the government will also be invited.
“We are facing the biggest war and worst humanitarian catastrophe in Europe since World War II. Zelenskyj’s speech to the Storting is a rare and historic event that reflects this great seriousness. Through the meeting with Zelenskyj, a united Storting will show its strong cross-political sympathy with Ukraine and support for their struggle,” Gharahkhani said.
Since the war began, Zelensky has made video speeches to a number of parliaments around the world. In addition to the Norwegian parliament, he will also address the parliaments in Denmark, the Netherlands, Greece, and Australia this week.
