In Norway, 68 percent of students who started a university or college education for the first time in 2011 have completed their degree in eight years.

The proportion who have completed a degree eight years after the start of their studies is higher than ever. A similar survey from 2001 showed that only 55 percent had completed a degree eight years after the start of their studies.

This is shown in a report from Statistics Norway which was published on Thursday. There, the researchers followed up on students who started their education for the first time in 2011 and saw how they are doing eight years later.

The results from the research also show that nearly 43 percent of the students had completed a degree at a lower level, while 25 percent had completed a degree at a higher level or doctorate..
