Oslo is still the most popular place to study among those who apply to the Police Academy.
A total of 4,284 people – 23.9% more than last year – have applied for 400 study places at the Police Academy. The Police Academy wants applicants from all over the country to ensure broad recruitment.
“All counties are well represented in this year’s admissions. When we compare the number of applicants with last year, we see that all counties are experiencing an increase in applicants. That is gratifying,” acting section leader Thale Kvaal Dunker at the Department of Studies noted.
Among the applicants who have a Bachelor’s degree in police education as their top priority study preference, Oslo is still the most popular place of study. The rest are evenly distributed between Stavern and Bodø.
All study places have registered increased interest. The interest has increased the most in Bodø, with 271 more applicants than last year.
