The Norwegian Post has selected the Danish company SwipBox as a supplier of parcel lockers.

During the next year, the Post Office will place parcel lockers at 1,000 locations throughout Norway.

The parcel lockers will be set up in places where there are many people traveling such as residential areas, traffic centers, shopping centers, student towns, and similar.

At the selected location, customers will be able to collect their packages by using their smartphone and Bluetooth.

Initially, Posten will deploy 3,000 parcel lockers in a thousand locations in Norway, but the agreement with SwipBox offers the opportunity to purchase more.

“High quality”

“SwipBox was chosen because its solution was the best when it came to meeting our needs. Their parcel lockers are of high quality, battery-operated, and easy to use.

The parcel lockers will be instrumental in our efforts to make it easier for our customers to collect the packages they order online.

They can set up outside and do not require power nor internet connection.

They are delivered in modules that make it easy to scale capacity according to local needs,” Tone Wille, CEO of the Norwegian Post, said.

“We are proud that the Norwegian Post, one of the most innovative postal companies in the world, has chosen SwipBox.

We are looking forward to setting up our parcel lockers all over Norway,” Jens Rom, CEO of SwipBox, noted.
