Statistics Norway’s labor force survey shows that unemployment was at 3.9 percent in December, adjusted for seasonal variations.

DNB Markets wrote in its morning report before the figures were presented that they expected an unemployment rate of 4.1 percent, but that consensus lay on unchanged unemployment.

A total of 110,000 people were unemployed in December, measured as the average for the period November to January. This is unchanged from September when the average of the period between August and October was measured, Statistics Norway writes.
