A total of 35,000 new vaccine doses are expected to come to Norway this week. With that, the vaccine program will be rolled out to all municipalities that are ready.
The first 10,000 doses were distributed to seven eastern municipalities with high infection pressure.
The other municipalities will have to wait a little longer.
“We are expecting 35,000 doses this week. Municipalities will be offered vaccines from next week, and the vaccine program will be rolled out in all municipalities in Norway that are ready for it,” department head Line Vold at the National Institute of Public Health (FHI) told TV 2.
After this week, Norway will receive around 40,000 doses a week from BioNTech and Pfizer.
