A total of 82 new cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in Bergen in the last 24 hours.
Out of the total, 37 of the infected are close contacts, 26 have an unknown route of infection, and 19 have not been mapped yet, the Municipality announced.
More than half of the cases are among people between the ages of 20 and 39. Six of the cases are children under 13 years of age.
“There are very high infection rates today. With so many infected people, the infection tracking work becomes demanding. We also see that the infected have many close contacts,” acting infection control chief Kjell Haug noted in an update.
The Bergen City Council will hold a press conference on new corona measures in the city on Thursday at 2 PM.
