Assistant Director of Health, Espen Rostrup Nakstad, says that in the near future there will be new advisories for, among other things, face masks and travels with public transportation.

-”New advisory will come in a few days.”, he said to TV 2.

The Health authorities are looking into other ways to lower the amount of people travelling at the same time. They are also looking into how work-spaces can have home offices and the adjustment of work hours, according to Nakstad.

-”Clear advice on which situations face masks will become necessary will also come.”, he said.

Recently, County Mayer, Jon Askeland (SP), in Vestland, among others, has asked national authorities to consider orders for face masks in public transportation. In connection with the start-up after the summer holidays, both he and Health Councilor, Robert Steen (AP), in Oslo are worried about full vehicles in public transportation.

  1. GREAT news! Thank you, Høyre government!

I see the fast food and candy butikks are selling the “disposable” (but after mare than 3 days reusable, according to recent reports) facemasks 10 for 160 NoK, which compares favorably with them in the U.S., with allowances made for Norway’s higher cost of living.
