A man in his 20s has been sentenced to compulsory mental health care for stabbing a man four times in the arm and once in the chest.
The man was also convicted of two counts of theft and for possession of a small amount of cannabis, among other things, according to the verdict from Oslo District Court.
According to the court, the convicted person poses a danger to society. Both the prosecuting authority and the defense counsel had filed a claim for compulsory mental health care.
The man is also sentenced to pay NOK 17,500 in restitution to the stabbing victim.
