The prosecutor requested 20 years of preventive detention for the 58-year-old man charged with the double murder in Bergen last year. The man has pleaded guilty.
“As it appears, this was a pure execution,” public prosecutor Benedicte Hordnes said in Hordaland District Court on Tuesday, according to the newspaper Bergens Tidende.
A 42-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were found killed at Osavatnet in Bergen on January 13 last year, but the police believe that the killings were committed a day before.
According to the indictment, they were killed with a knife and ax. A 58-year-old has confessed to both murders, while two others have been charged with murder and complicity.
In addition, two men have been charged with removing evidence.
