On Sunday, seven people died on Norwegian roads. That makes the day the worst day in terms of traffic accidents in eight years.
The figures were released by the National Mobile Police Service (Utrykningspolitiet) and the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) writes.
On Sunday, two foreign nationals died in a collision between three cars on the E16 in Voss, while four people, all Czechs, died in an accident in the Steigen tunnel in Nordland.
In addition, a man in his 60s lost his life after a motorcycle accident in Siljan in Telemark on Sunday night.
So far this year, 37 lives have been lost on Norwegian roads.
