A case of the South African coronavirus variant has been detected in an employee of Læringsverkstedet Verksveien kindergarten in Jessheim. Several people in the kindergarten must be quarantined.

There is an ongoing outbreak at the department the employee works at, and three employees have so far tested positive for the coronavirus, newspaper Romerikes Blad writes.

None of the children have so far been infected, but all employees and children must be quarantined, Ullensaker Municipality states.

“The South African mutated virus variant has been detected in one of the employees who lives in another municipality,” the Municipality wrote in a press release.
