Woman in her 20s charged with attempted murder in central Oslo

A 25-year-old woman is accused of having tried to kill a 29-year-old man with a knife in Brugata in central Oslo in June.

At 11.30 PM on June 13, in Brugata in Oslo, the woman stabbed the man in the neck, face, and upper body with a knife several times, according to the indictment.

The man received a stab wound to the neck, as well as cuts to the cheek and arm. 

According to the indictment, the woman did not succeed in killing the man, partly because people on the scene intervened. 

Multiple charges

The man’s injuries were not life-threatening.

The woman is also charged with inflicting severe bodily harm and carrying a knife in a public place.

Both the man and the woman are from Viken.

The case is scheduled for January 12 in Oslo District Court. Three days have been set aside for the case.
