A recent study shows that Norwegians between the ages of 20 and 40 exercise less than they did before the corona pandemic occurred.
The training habits of about one in three Norwegians have been negatively affected by the pandemic, a survey by Norstat on behalf of Norwegian Broadcasting (NRK) shows.
A total of 7% answered that they have stopped exercising altogether, while 24% say they exercise less than they did before the pandemic.
“It is very harmful, and therefore we must do everything we can for people to be active.
“Walking and being active is entirely possible even if there is a pandemic. However, if you are an adult, being close to others in training situations must be avoided now,” Minister of Health Bent Høie (H) noted.
Nearly half of those surveyed are unsure whether they will return to their old exercising habits when the corona pandemic is over.
