In the last 24 hours, 26 people in Trondheim have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Several of the cases have an unknown source of infection.

“Five currently have an unknown source of infection. Seven cases were reported late and have not yet been mapped. The others have a known route of infection,” Trondheim Municipality stated in a press release on Saturday.

All the infected persons have a mild disease course of COVID-19.

Trondheim has struggled with high infection rates in recent weeks and has introduced strict corona measures. Among other things, all events are banned, and an alcohol-serving ban has been introduced.

On Monday morning, the Municipality will decide whether the measures will be continued.
