The digital tour platform UT.no will get NOK 250,000 from Statskog to further develop the service.

The contribution comes in addition to the NOK 2 million the government has set aside for UT.no in the state budget.

“Millions of Norwegians plan their outdoor experiences on UT.no. Having Statskog on the team is extremely important to get more people out on trips. It contributes to more people becoming fond of nature,” Secretary-General Dag Terje Klarp Solvang of the Norwegian Tourist Association (DNT) said.

The DNT runs the online trip planner UT.no. The number of platform users skyrocketed in 2020, and the increase has continued in 2021.

Friluftsrådenes landsforbund and Statskog have previously developed and operated the portal Godtur.no, while DNT has developed UT.no. Now, they are gathering forces around the further development of UT.no as a common, good tour portal, Statskog wrote in a press release.
