“July 22 was an attack on democracy, and it was politically motivated terror aimed at the Labor Party and the AUF,” Prime Minister Erna Solberg said at the marking at the government quarter.

“In a democracy, we must live side by side in a community, even with disagreement. Among other things, we will notice this in the weeks leading up to the parliamentary elections in September,” she said.
“But to threaten those who believe something other than what you believe, to work for them to shut up and stop them – that is not democracy.”
“We should never accept people resorting to violence to stop those who have other opinions,” Solberg emphasized.
“The terror of July 22 was an attack on our democracy. It was a politically motivated terrorist act aimed at the Labor Party, the AUF, and their ideas,” Solberg noted.
