According to new vaccine studies, the corona vaccine is the best weapon in the fight against the pandemic. The National Institute of Public Health (FHI) is pleased.

“After the delta variant became dominant, protection against becoming infected has somewhat decreased, but the protection against hospitalization and death is still very good. The vaccines are crushing the delta variant, and it’s just wonderful,” chief physician Preben Aavitsland at the FHI told TV 2.

It appears that the vaccine from Moderna provides the most effective protection against the delta variant of the virus. Experts are struggling to understand why, according to Medical Express.

New studies

The new studies have been published by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). One of the main findings is that unvaccinated people have an eleven times higher risk of dying from the coronavirus compared to fully vaccinated people.

Corresponding figures show that the risk of hospitalization increases tenfold, while the risk of infection increases 4.5 times.

“The vaccines are doing their job,” Aavitsland told the channel.

More than 3.4 million Norwegians have been fully vaccinated so far, while more than 3.9 million have received at least one vaccine dose.
