Meteorologists have warned that the season’s first snowfall may come in Southern Norway on Monday and Tuesday. The Road Traffic Control Center is now asking motorists to ensure they have the right tires and equipment.

From Monday afternoon, snow is expected in Agder, Ryfylke, Dalane, and Hardanger, while on Monday evening and during the night between Monday and Tuesday, sleet and snow are expected in Vestfold and Telemark, Oslo, Viken, and Innlandet.

From 5-15 centimeters of snow is expected in the latter three counties in particular areas, and the Norwegian Meteorological Institute has issued a yellow snow warning.

Eventually, the snow will turn to rain.

The Road Traffic Control for Southern Norway asked motorists to be aware of the weather conditions and make sure that their cars are prepared for snow.

While studded tires can be used from November 1, motorists can change earlier if the conditions require it.
