FHI has recommended six new “red” countries and several areas in Sweden and Denmark

The Institute of Public Health recommended several new “red” countries, including Iceland and the Netherlands, in addition to a number of areas in Sweden and Denmark.

-”A significantly increasing incidence has recently been reported in several countries and regions in the EU/EEA. As of the 10th of August , five new countries  in the EU/EEA are red, as well as the Faroe Islands, six regions in Sweden and two in Denmark.”, as stated in a press release from FHI, Monday night.

The following countries are to be recommended as “red”: Iceland, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Cyprus, and the Faroe Islands. 

FHI has recommended the Swedish regions of Östergötland, Blekinge, Värmland, Uppsala, Dalarna, and Örebro as “red”.In Denmark, the regions of Midt-Jylland and Skjælland(not including the capital region) are to be recommended as “red”.
